Sunk.

You know those moments throughout life when suddenly something hits you like a ton of bricks and you have to sit down for a sec to take it all in?

That was today.

I was sitting on the couch reading Hadassah a book and I could hear my voice echoing.

Yes, echoing.

Am I going to tell you why my voice was echoing? Yes. I shall.

For the past few days I've been in packing mode. Major packing mode. And did you know that when you take big all the pictures off of your living room wall, you echo?

Well now you know.

And that was my moment. The moment where I had to stop reading to Hadassah and sit back and let it all sink in. ("Mommy, read! *tugging on my sleeve* Mommy!!!" )

What sunk, you ask? The fact that we're moving in three weeks, that's what! Originally we were looking at early August. But one night we sat down, looked at a few 'life factors' and said "Ok then. End of June it is."

*Sigh*

Things around the house are looking like this. Emptier and emptier. And this. Boxes. Everywhere. And this. Look how lonely and bare those walls look! And see again - the boxes (on the right). They're starting to stockpile. At least I have something to do while Tim crams for his synod exam next week, right?

Right!

  1. oh, honey, that ton of bricks feeling must be a bit overwhelming some moments! Not always, I'm sure, but it's no small thing to end a chapter in life's story, is it?
Praying God will give you everything you need to get it all done.
Blessings to all 3 of you.
