Hi.

It's been over a month I see, since I've made an appearance on this blog. Although it hasn't been like my usual 'breaks' where I snap pictures and write posts in my head. This was truly a break from the blog and it was rather refreshing. Today, though, seems like a good day to say hi.

So...hi! How've you been?

The past few weeks I've experienced pleasant nothings, crazy busyness, heartache, great friendship, wonderful communion of saints and the love and care of a mighty Father. Especially that last one. "I will give the Lord the thanks due to His righteousness, and I will sing praise to the name of the Lord, the Most High." (Psalm 7:17)

Besides saying hi, and because posts aren't as fun without a picture or two, I thought I'd share some Photoshop magic on our house. With spring slowly lingering and making up its mind about what temperature it'd like to be, my mind has been switching gears from indoor projects to outdoor ones. And I have a little vision for our house that we may or may not implement this year. A couple coats of paint, the removal of some screens, a new house number and we might just turn our house from this:

Into something kinda close to this:

Not 100% sold on the color, although the door is already pretty close. Another option is a dark yet bright oliveyish green on the siding and ditching yellow on the door.

What do you think? Keep the screened in-ness? Is the white trim to stark? I'd love to hear your thoughts...

And I hope you have a fantastic week. Happy Monday!

  1. Glad you're back. I can see the difficulty of harmonizing the colours. I think I would descreen, not stark white trim, something a little warmer and the front door, something with a punch but not that it shouts at you. Olive sage green, cottage red. Window boxes the same colour as the front door will add coziness. I'm sure you'll find the perfect solution, because the inside is beautiful.

  2. I saw a fabulous door today...the house was a painted brick-grey (kind of a medium/bright grey-not a light grey but not a heavy black-grey) and the door was a fresh/sharp green/yellow...not quite lime. So cool but maybe too trendy.

  3. thanking God with you for His love for you also shown through others. I hope you're well.
THis was a neat picture of your home. I don't think I've noticed one giving this perspective like this before. What a great house (compared to my lacking much cuteness one!) No matter what you decide to do I'm sure you will make it look wonderful. The taking out screens must happen by the front door? If your door is close to this color right now it must be hidden behind something!
    Take care, Leanne

  5. Praying for you, friend! Cute house, I don't think I've seen the outside of it yet. Love the pop of color on the front door!
