First Haircut. Ever.

It was one of those things I kept saying I should do. I just never got around to, ya know, actually doing it.

But it was time. Stringy, uneven ends don't make for very pretty hair.

And so, at the age of 3 years and 1 month, Hadassah had her first haircut. She was so excited! I told her that we'd have a photoshoot first. (I hadn't taken any "official" 3-year shots, but didn't feel like spending any money for them, so I took them myself. Some results of the shoot on the way...) And once we had the pictures taken, we'd go get her haircut.

Her face was rather serious during the whole process - but her "I did it" grin was pretty huge when the cape was taken off and she had the first view of her new haircut. She didn't stand still for an after shot, she was so giddy about it. But that evening I got a shot of the results: (with horrible lighting - but at least you get the general idea :)

Crisp, healthy, even (well...mostly even) hair. Last trace of baby...gone.

Sigh.

  1. a pretty little girl! It can be a bit tough giving up that last bit of babiness - some day she'll look at pictures and thank you for doing it :)
