Seeing Spots

It all started with this picture on pinterest:

The Nester has this polka dot wall. And I like it. Her inspiration from Pinterest became my inspiration and after a quick run to Michael's to pick up a set of Martha Stewart sponges (with a 40% off coupon, of course), away I went on Hadassah's wall. (the Nester used vinyl dots, but I already had the paint from a frame project {see bird cage frame here} and I decided sponges would end up being less expensive. And faster!)

See, originally it was going to be a zig zag wall. But I was getting lazy with this bedroom project. After painting the walls again, painting all of the trim, painting the floor, ordering two different bedspreads and then returning them, after knowing that I'd probably have to DIY curtains to get what I wanted, etc., etc., the idea of taping off a zig zag wall didn't excite me as much as the idea did in the first place.

So! Dots it is!

And those dots took the wall from this:

To this:

I'm pretty fond of those dots. They're fun! And, (as always) the wall is not done yet. I'm also loving the arrow on the Nester's wall, so my brain is whirling as to what else will go on this wall. Something big. Just don't know how big yet. Or what. But that's the fun part!!

And so Hadassah's room continues to evolve. I'm still on the hunt for the perfect bedspread x 2. Because eventually there will be 2 of those iron Ikea beds in here. Perhaps 2 dressers. 2 of these Ikea reading lights...

...and, Lord willing, 2 kids.

I promise that I have an adoption post on its way. It's half written already in fact. Thanks for all that patience as well as the eager reminders.

In the meantime, have a great Monday!

  1. Hi, just curious, are you adopting a baby or older child? From Children's Aid, or private, or out of country?
